Role Description The Guest Services Manager is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations and ensuring a high standard of guest satisfaction. This full-time, on-site role is based at Jazz Hotel Penang in Penang, Malaysia, and involves supervising guest services staff, managing reception activities, and coordinating check-in and check-out processes. The role includes handling guest inquiries and complaints, monitoring service quality, and implementing guest service policies and procedures. The Guest Services Manager works closely with other departments to support smooth operations, optimize occupancy, and maintain consistent communication with guests and team members. The position also requires training and mentoring staff, preparing reports on guest feedback and service performance, and supporting initiatives that enhance the overall guest experience.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills to lead, coach, and motivate guest services and front office teams.
  • Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Candidates should possess experience with Receptionist Duties, including managing reservations, check-in/check-out, and front desk administration.
  • Candidates should ideally have experience in hotel or hospitality management, with knowledge of front office systems and procedures.
  • Candidates should be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and maintain a professional, service-oriented attitude.
  • Candidates with a diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field, and proficiency in multiple languages, will have an advantage.
