Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Solution Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth across our organisation. This pivotal role requires a professional with a strong background in management, B2B sales, and leadership, within the HGV, or transport industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, fostering client relationships, and analysing market trends to ensure competitive advantage. A comprehensive understanding of the HGV industry and excellent analysis skills are essential to optimise sales processes and performance. What does the role entail?
Customer First
- Foster a customer-first culture, ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet customer needs across all product and service lines,
- Collaborate with marketing, aftersales, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and maximise cross-selling opportunities,
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Driving the business
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives and market opportunities,
- Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement,
- Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior management,
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sales teams to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee engagement,
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all sales activities.

What we're looking for in a candidate?
- Proven management experience within a senior sales leadership role, within an automotive, transport or related industry
- Extensive background in achieving sales targets and driving business growth across multiple product lines
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills,
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities,
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills,
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence at all levels of the organisation,
- Commercially astute with a customer-focused mindset,
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification is desirable,
- Confident with disciplinary and grievance processes, and conflict resolution,
- Strong stakeholder management experience,
- Ability to work within a team and within guidelines and to deadlines,
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety and environmental requirements,
- Excellent organisation and analytical skills,
- High level of computer literacy,
- Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills,
- Ability to work under pressure and have a solution-driven approach,
- Current driving licence
