Minimum Salary: $24.25
Maximum Salary: $37.23
Wage Range: $24.25 – $37.23 per hour plus additional per diem wage.

Job Summary:
The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) is responsible for clerical and reception functions and facilitating communication on assigned units.
Primary Duties:
Provides customer service to patients, families, and the cross-functional team.
Facilitates communications – scheduling, coverage of telephones and nurse call systems.
Maintains patient records, CPOE, and unit census records on a daily basis.
Coordinates admissions, transfers, and discharges to the Charge Nurse and appropriate departments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or
Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
High School graduation or equivalent.
Must possess excellent communication skills to efficiently communicate and process information regarding patients.
DESIRED for the position:
One (1) year of related experience in a similar setting.
Completion of a medical terminology course and/or a Health Unit Coordinator course.
