Summary

The Rehab Program Specialist plays a crucial role in effectively administering the neighborhood stabilization rehabilitation programs. The Rehab Program Specialist will assist with file documentation, invoice payment, contract development, supporting community outreach efforts and other business processes that move customers through the various city housing rehabilitation programs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the departments primary resource for internal administrative policies, including procurement, travel, contractor, and vendor approvals.

Draft and review contracts for rehabilitation programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with program objectives and federal requirements.

Stay informed on federal and local regulations, departmental policies and procedures and update department standard operating procedures and assistance policies.

Assist in program and project administration monitoring of program/project, timelines, and budgets.

Demonstrate independent decision making, handle task with confidentiality and exhibit forward thinking.

Gather data, develop, and maintain complex excel spreadsheets, generate reports, and perform data analysis.

Process program applications, review and calculate income documentation to determine program eligibility.

Participate in community outreach events to promote neighborhood stabilization rehabilitation program during and outside of regular office hours.

Develop training material and conduct training sessions for the neighborhood stabilization staff, partners, and contractors.
