Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities:
– Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
– Maintain a clean and organized living environment for individuals
– Implement systems to help individuals stay organized and manage their daily tasks
– Work with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities, providing support and guidance
– Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to develop and implement care plans
– Provide direct support to individuals in various settings, including their homes or community-based locations
– Assist with heavy lifting or physical transfers as needed
– Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
– Provide dementia care for individuals experiencing memory loss or cognitive decline
Skills:
– Experience in working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities
– Knowledge of social work principles and practices
– Direct support experience in assisting individuals with personal care needs
– Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
– Understanding of dementia care techniques and strategies
