Operating under well-established trading names, TJ O' Mahony and PH Ross, currently trading from 18 Branches Nationwide with a turnover of + €155m. In addition, the Group has specialist divisions including – Heating, Plumbing, Insulation, Paving and Decking, further enhancing our product offering and expertise.

The Group is currently looking to hire a HR Admin to join their HR team. The role will be based in Ballymount Dublin 24.

Job Title: HR Admin

The HR Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function. The role ensures efficient delivery of HR processes including recruitment administration, onboarding, employee records management, payroll support, training coordination, and compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
  • Prepare contracts of employment, offer letters, and HR documentation.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes including starters, leavers, transfers, and promotions.
  • Manage HR filing systems in line with GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
  • Respond to employee HR-related queries in a timely and professional manner.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support the Recruiter through the Recruitment process.
  • Prepare onboarding packs and support induction processes for new employees.
  • Conduct reference checks and support pre-employment screening where required.

Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate employee data and timesheet information.
  • Maintain records relating to leave, absences, and employee benefits.
  • Liaise with payroll as required.

HR Systems & Reporting

  • Update and maintain HR systems and employee data.
  • Produce HR reports and metrics including absence, turnover, and recruitment tracking.
  • Support audits and compliance reporting activities.

Training & Employee Support

  • Coordinate training schedules and maintain training records.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and HR projects.
  • Assist with policy updates and internal HR communications.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Support health & safety and equality/diversity initiatives where applicable.

Essential

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within HR or office administration.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Desirable

  • HR qualification or working towards CIPD qualification.
  • Experience using TMS platforms
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR procedures.
