Description
Boulder County Administrative Specialist Department is seeking to hire a Sustainability Climate Resilience. Boulder County Department Office of Sustainability, Climate Action, and Resilience (OSCAR) is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist. This is an entry-level professional classification. The Administrative Specialist performs a variety of professional analysis, support and coordination duties. The primary duty of position includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. This position will work out of 2020 13th Street Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $53988.00 – $65,874.00 Annually

Examples of Duties
Provide daily administrative, operational, and organizational support to Contract Support – collect support documents for Project Manager
Invoices – verify invoices received from vendors are correct
Data entry, management, calculations and reporting for Salesforce and Excel Spreadsheets
Maintain invoice files
Organize and plan team events, retreats and trainings
Maintain meeting calendars
Data collection and sorting
Organize digital files
Collect and maintain marketing resources
Manage program related procurement
Create, update and manage forms; manage program participant applications and vouchers; and prepare and execute participant agreements
Light research, as needed
Performs related work, as required
May be reassigned during emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of related experience. Additional related education may count towards required experience.

Computer Skills – Utilizes a personal computer with word processing, spreadsheet, and related software to effectively complete a variety of administrative tasks with reasonable speed and accuracy
Interpersonal Relationships – Develops and maintains cooperative and professional relationships with employees and all levels of management to include representatives from other departments and organizations
Time Management – Plans and organizes daily work routine. Establishes priorities for the completion of work in accordance with sound time-management methodology and estimated schedules
Judgment/Decision Making – Ability to use logic and reasoning to understand, analyze, and evaluate situations and exercise good judgment to make appropriate decisions
Communication – Excellent ability to communicate, listen to and understand directions, information, and ideas presented verbally and in writing, which may include the preparation of detailed reports including numerical information and statistics. Ability to handle a variety of issues with tact and diplomacy and in a confidential manner
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of governmental structure and budget process
Ability to do research on a variety of issues and topics
Ability to work with a variety of groups and make presentations
Ability to work effectively with other employees, agencies and the public

Vacation**
80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire

Employer contribution to Social Security: 7.65% of salary

The District Attorney’s Office observe Francis Xavier Cabrini Day on the first Monday in October and omit the Friday after Thanksgiving
**Vacation and Medical leave are based off of full time FTE accruals. Part-time FTE/term employees accrue leave based on the percentage of time they work.
