Summary
The Village of Lincolnwood, Illinois (13,463 – 2020 census) is a diverse home-rule municipality directly north of the City of Chicago consisting of 2.7 square miles, with a unique blend of residential, commercial, and industrial areas. The Village is seeking an individual to provide general office support for the role of Human Resources Assistant/Seasonal Clerk. Excellent oral/written communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position serves under the direction of the Assistant to the Village Manager. The following are Essential Duties of the Human Resources Assistant/Seasonal Clerk position:
Payroll entry and processing
Assistance with coordinating the onboarding process including coordination of recruitment, background checks and pre-employment screenings
Filing, scanning, mailing, copying, and data entry
Updating the Village’s Intranet site
Maintains integrity and confidentiality of sensitive Human Resources information
Responding to inquiries and providing exceptional customer service when needed
Education and Experience Requirements
The position requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED). One to two years of clerical experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications required.
Hours and Compensation
The compensation for this position is $20 per hour. The candidate will work a maximum of 29 hours per week for no more than six months. Office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, some flexibility may be available.
