Job description: Healthcare & Emergency Solutions is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in providing culturally competent, equitable healthcare services for historically excluded communities. Our team of public health professionals and clinical experts is equipped to manage state contracts.

This role will be primarily remote in the Atlanta area, with occasional on-site requirements based on business needs and projects.

Summary

The HR & Credentialing Specialist supports efficient daily operations of credentialing and private information management. Responsibilities include coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining all credentialing and re-credentialing activities, document management, and verification of qualifications, licenses, and backgrounds for employees or contractors, especially in healthcare or related fields.

Duties

and Responsibilities

Monitor license statuses and sanctions of providers and staff

Collaborate with external partners for necessary checks and verifications

Organize and maintain credentialing files and records

Escalate questionable documentation for review

Initiate background checks, licensure verifications, and related processes

Evaluate files for completeness and communicate missing items

Maintain provider information in online systems

Track and update documents, ensuring renewals and expirations are managed

Stay informed of credentialing standards and regulations

Research and resolve complex credentialing issues

Respond promptly to credentialing emails and inquiries

Coordinate with outside agencies to ensure timely credentialing

Propose process improvements and resolve issues efficiently

Conduct provider credentialing and re-credentialing, including primary source verifications

Communicate proactively with stakeholders for smooth processes

Provide excellent customer service to employees and contractors

Outline credentialing steps and update forms and documentation

Review invoices and maintain accurate records

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related field

3-5 years of administrative experience with credentialing documentation

Experience working with management at all levels

Strong organizational, attention to detail, and deadline management skills

Excellent communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Knowledge of credentialing processes and regulations

Ability to work independently remotely and collaboratively
