Administrative Office Assistant
Full-time position (M-TH 32 hours per week to start)
Job Summary Overview
An Independent Insurance Agency specializing in employee benefits is expanding our staff. We are currently looking for an Administrative Office Assistant to join our team. The Administrative Office Assistant fulfills an important role within our independent insurance agency. It is a position which requires the applicant to have superior computer skills, critical thinking skills, time management skills, attention to detail, and adhere to established processes. The applicant must have the initiative and drive for customer service for both internal and external customers. He or she must be a self-starter who finds great joy, and pride in helping others resolve issues. The day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, handling eligibility, assisting Account Managers and Sales managers by assisting with renewals, quoting, creating detailed complex spreadsheets, and preparing various other documents for meetings.
Job duties include but are not limited to
· Create detailed client specific quotes using quoting software
· Build client profiles in benefit enrollment software
· Review and process employee insurance benefit forms
· Maintain and build upon current relationships with clients and Carriers
· Correspond with clients and agents to:
o obtain necessary missing information
o inform them of status updates (completion of processing)
· Communicate with clients and their employees via email and phone to answer benefit enrollment questions
· Create censuses for our clients from their current enrollment information for their renewals
· Pull renewals from carrier websites for our clients to re-market and determine other options
· Create employee benefits booklets for our clients
· Create all in one open enrollment forms for our clients from existing templates
· Manage benefits through benefit administration systems

· Advanced computer proficiency (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel are a must)
Experience
· Experience with customer care and account management.
· AR Health/Life Insurance License is preferred but not required.
· Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but not required.
Compensation
Based on experience

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
