Duties

You will analyze employee documents to determine pay entitlements.

You will advise customers about personnel actions, processes and procedures.

You will discuss pay-related resolutions with human resources professionals.

You will identify errors with employee pay entitlements.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

This is a bargaining unit position.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-5:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Maintaining records to ensure they are accurate and up to date;

2) Using automated systems to perform administrative support functions (i.e. reviewing information for discrepancies, maintain databases, and preparing reports, briefings, and correspondence); and

3) Utilizing standard office equipment (i.e., scanners, copiers, fax machines, and office automation systems) to perform a substantial range of office automation support functions.

To qualify for the GS-4:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience demonstrating progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.
