DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will be responsible for providing consultation and administrative support and guidance to assigned public and private children and youth social service agencies as well as evaluating the services provided and analyzing data submitted by the agencies to ensure the implementation of departmental policy and to reinforce conformance of program administration and service with state standards, accepted good practice standards and legal and federal requirements.You will also be responsible for evaluating and analyzing allegations of child abuse of children in out-of-home care, and for determining the status of those allegations and presenting recommendations for service delivery and negotiating the implementation of those recommendations with agency directors, county commissioners, governing boards, and other appropriate individuals. With the passage of Act 33, the incumbent is also responsible for evaluating and analyzing the outcomes of investigations performed by county agencies into the circumstances of child fatalities and near fatalities that occur in the counties, to include recommendations for improvement in the county service delivery system and monitoring implementation of the recommendations.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5-hours per week.Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 1-hour lunch (Negotiable).Travel: Essential.Overtime: On Call on a Rotating Basis. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
