My clients need a talented Clothing Imports Merchandiser who has covered the duties below. Reputable importer of Mens and Ladies Apparel.

Job Description

· Trend research, developing new styles for respective buying teams for each coming season. Constantly work on new developments with suppliers.

· Sending clear and detailed briefs to each of the factories in China and Bangladesh.

· Negotiating prices with factories to suit buyers’ briefs and target prices.

· Growing business for each department per season through new style developments whilst offering workable prices and on time deliveries.

· Managing the critical path for confirmed orders from confirmation through to delivery.

· Following up with suppliers on lab dip, fit/seal and pre-shipment sample submissions.

· Ensuring all contracts received from the BA are correct before sending through to the suppliers.

· Communicating with suppliers and buying teams on all queries pertaining to orders confirmed and new developments.

· Admin duties such as measuring fit/seal and pre-shipment samples, filing and loading confirmed orders on an internal system and updating information weekly on the internal standstill system.

· Monthly store visits to check on quality.

· Building strong & successful business relationships with buying teams and suppliers – manage 8 different departments across the customer portfolio both in ladies and menswear.
