Pallet Sales & Recycling is looking for an Office Assistant to join their team! This role is a full-time, on-site, Temp to hire position.

Pallet Sales & Recycling is a locally owned and operated business based out of the Metro St. Louis area. We provide years of experience and knowledge in the pallet and supply chain industry. At Pallet Sales & Recycling, we are dedicated to operating with sustainable practices and providing our customers with the tools to do so as well. We are committed to zero landfill, and can provide landfill free certificates to qualifying customers. We partner with a local business to make sure all of our wood waste is reused as mulch, and we have a team of experts that find a second use for items that are typically harder to recycle.

Pallet Sales and Recycling is a member of the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) which is the largest organization of wood packaging professionals in the world. NWPCA has more than 700 company members in 28 countries who manufacture, repair and distribute pallets and wood packaging in unit-load solutions, or who supply products and services to the industry.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Office Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing office functions, and assisting with customer interactions, .

Duties

Perform general office management tasks including filing, data entry, and clerical duties.
Manage incoming and outgoing communications through phone systems and email.
Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars for staff members.
Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Organize and maintain office supplies and equipment to ensure a well-functioning workspace.
Support Office Manager with anything else she may need.
Collaborate with team members to improve office processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Enter invoices and other accounting items as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in an office or administrative role.
Proven experience with accounting related items.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with office management procedures and basic clerical tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with customer support.
Ability to operate standard office equipment and phone systems.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
