Essential Functions
Operate a computer system to retrieve, index, verify, and update data, including real estate legal descriptions into the Acclaim Land Record System (ALRS). Produce detailed documentation, maintain batch control, review, proofread, and confirm data input quality. Verify computer-generated reports and records. Work with plats, such as setting up new subdivisions and condominiums into ALRS.
Operate office and computer support equipment as directed. Perform clerical tasks to support department efficiency. Engage in special projects like back scanning.
Assist the public with document retrieval, filing, and resolving conflicts or problems related to documents and recordings, both in person and via phone. Answer inquiries from the public, attorneys, and real estate professionals. Manage receipt, sorting, and distribution of submitted documents. Operate the Mekel machine for duplicating images from film for public access. Support other staff as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Office Supervisor. Assist other departments as required by HCRO Administration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of: Department practices and procedures; computer operations; recording entries in the CGI, including various types of land descriptions and documents; legal descriptions from simple to complex; geographic indexing of recorded documents.
Skills in: Use of measurement tools and office equipment; effective writing and data entry techniques.
Ability to: Index documents into the CGI; understand engineering principles; solve problems involving multiple variables; accurately record and copy information; maintain organized records; communicate effectively with coworkers and management; identify and correct errors; perform calculations; respond to inquiries from the public and professionals.
