Information Technology Administrator Job in Burnaby, BC at True Mechanical –

True Mechanical is seeking a full-time IT Administrator to join our Burnaby office. The successful applicant will have a diploma in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training. Keys to success include the ability to solve problems independently and being a good team player. The IT Administrator will work collaboratively with the People & Culture team and Operations Directors.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve network support and software system problems

Setup/maintain/support employee laptops and hardware (monitors, docking stations, etc.)

Image and setup/install applicable apps for computers, cell phones, iPads, rocket sticks, etc. for first-time user

Decommission/retire IT assets

Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting Windows, and all commonly used office software and applications, such as Microsoft, Adobe, and others as required.

Procure mobile phones, computers, rocket sticks, iPads, and accessories as required

Develop and maintain IT asset management database including recording and tracking assignment/re-assignment of all IT Asset inventory, including laptops, mobile devices, monitors, docking stations, etc.

True Mechanical deployment on all devices (All software, TM Backgrounds, contacts etc.)

Company standard software

Deployment of all system updates

Audit and clean up of existing exchange and user addresses

Software and Subscription Management (in collaboration with department heads)

Autodesk

Procore

Microsoft Office 365 etc.

IT issue tracking and monitoring (Diagnose problems and improving efficiency)

Software integrations, API management

True Mechanical Network and Data Security

True Mechanical Network Infrastructure Maintenance and Support

Data back ups and disaster recovery contingencies

Hardware and Software performance tests and support

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent

Two years’ experience in IT admin support, or equivalent

Experience with or knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, and system performance monitoring tools

Advanced computer skills and a high level of detail orientation

Great communication skills

Customer service-orientated mindset.

Technical ability to identify root causes and solutions.

Strong time management skills including a strong ability to prioritize workload and a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
