Role Summary:
We are looking for a IT Assistant. This role is responsible for supporting local IT operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT service delivery under the guidance of local management. The role also works closely with HQ/ Group IT to follow corporate standatds, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Local IT support & Operations
- Provide first-level and second-level IT support for users, including hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
2. Coordination & Alignment
- Support implementation of IT initiatives directed by local management and HQ/ Group IT.
- Follow established IT standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency with Group practices.
3. IT Governance & Administration
- Assist in maintaining IT documentation, asset inventory, and system records.
- Support compliance with IT polices, security requirements, and audit-related activities.
4. Infrastructure & security Support
- Assist in monitoring system performance, network connectivity, and security alerts.
- Support routine maintenance and troubleshooting of infrastructure components under supervision.
5. Other Duties
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by local management or HR/ Group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technologies or related discipline.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, and security concepts.
- Good communication, coordination skills, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work collaboratively within a team.
- Service-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering excellent user support and resolving issues efficiently.
- Demonstrates Team collaboration that works well with local and Group IT teams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues, determine appropriate solutions, and escalate when necessary.
- Adaptable and proactive, with a willingness to learn new technologies and respond to changing business priorities.
- Proficient in English, with strong reading, writing, and communication skills; bilingual capability is an advantage.
