Position: Â Insurance Administrative Assistant (In Office)

The Insurance Admin Assistant will have the ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules and providing administrative support, is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.
Essential Functions:
Type claim letters
and attach to claim file
Answer phone calls that require no adjuster intervention/Filter calls
Send out subrogation letters w/supports and responsible for follow-up
Send out salvage letters w/title and documents to Salvage vendor
Obtain documents from other groups such as claims, HR, tech services and third parties related to claims
Audit files for specific identified items
Obtain information from settlements on drivers settlement account
Confirm claims management system is updated with all suits, trials and mediations and with all the claimant attorney info
Scan documents to each claim file
Printing info if applicable
Assignment of claim files daily
Running prepared reports from claims system
Send out letters dictated by adjusters to respond to time-demands or response to settlement offer
Other secretarial duties
Keeping our contact chart updated
Keeping our attorney listing updated
Schedules calls and meetings as needed
Keeping adjusters schedules updated both for daily and on call
Education
2 Years Associates Degree preferably in Business or related degree
Claims Adjuster’s License preferred
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities (Competencies)
5 years or more of claims experience in an administrative role
Strong computer skills, works with different types of applications
Strong writing skills
Strongcommunication skills
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office and computer equipment.
