Inventory Specialist – IT Department
Temporary Contract (3 to 4 Months)
Looking to expand and grow your IT career? We have an opportunity for you! This temporary role will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities in the IT department. They will maintain accurate records and track shipments of incoming and outgoing computer equipment and supplies. Through digital and manual counting, you will identify discrepancies with inventory and update reports and database appropriately.

Essential Functions and Duties:
Package computer equipment for shipping and track incoming and outgoing shipments.
Receive and inspect returned equipment.
Update database with incoming and outgoing equipment and maintain an accurate database of inventory.
Review, update, and maintain procurement requests until they are closed, including returns.
Maintain a collaborative working relationship with other teams, departments, and vendors to ensure the ongoing success of IT asset management.
Support the IT Purchasing Coordinator and IT Procurement and Disposition Coordinator and act as a backup for either/both positions when needed.
Assist the IT Asset Manager with various IT projects and deployments.
Qualifications:
Ability to interact with both internal and external personnel with a professional attitude, courtesy, and tact.
Advanced MS Excel proficiency and competency with all MS Office applications.
Previous experience using general office equipment.
Familiarity with various shipping websites a plus.
Strong sense of timeliness, highly motivated, and disciplined with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
Strong organizational, customer service, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive internal information.
