About us
ClearMarc is an early-stage Australian company providing vendor verification and due diligence reports to businesses and procurement teams assessing their suppliers. Our lead investigators turn data from trusted commercial and regulatory sources into clear, professional reports our clients rely on. We're a small, fast-moving team and you'd be joining at the ground floor.
The role
You will work alongside our lead investigators, providing the research and groundwork that powers our verification reports. You'll gather and organise data, run preliminary checks, and prepare findings for our investigators to review, interpret and finalise. It's a support role with real impact. The quality of your research directly shapes the reports our clients receive.
You will:
- Conduct preliminary research on vendors using our data sources
- Gather and verify business identifiers, registration details and key data points
- Compile and organise findings clearly for our lead investigators to assess
- Draft initial sections of reports for investigator review and sign-off
- Maintain our templates and ensure research is captured consistently and accurately
- Support the team with research tasks and process improvements as we grow
What we're looking for
- Strong research skills and sharp attention to detail
- Excellent written English — able to present findings clearly and accurately
- Comfortable working with data and online research tools
- Self-directed and reliable in a remote, async-friendly environment
- Discretion and good judgement when handling sensitive business information
- Happy working in a support capacity, taking direction from senior team members
Nice to have
- Background or study in research, due diligence, KYC/AML, compliance, credit or procurement
Working arrangement
- Fully remote (Virtual) from Malaysia
- Flexible hours with some overlap with Australian business hours (Malaysia is only 2–3 hours behind Sydney)
