Role Description The IT Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at SCIA’s campus in Cambodia. The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the school’s IT infrastructure, including workstations, servers, networks, and classroom technology. Daily tasks include installing and configuring hardware and software, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting technical issues for educators, staff, and learners. The role involves managing user accounts, ensuring data security and backups, and coordinating with vendors for equipment and services. The IT Officer also supports the implementation of educational technologies and provides basic training and guidance to users on IT systems and best practices.
Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in IT support, including hardware installation, software configuration, and troubleshooting for Windows/macOS environments.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi configuration, basic routing and switching, and network security practices.
  • Experience with system administration tasks, including user account management, permissions, backup processes, and antivirus or endpoint protection tools.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms, such as learning management systems, classroom AV equipment, and collaboration software.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize and resolve multiple technical issues in a school environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support educators, staff, and learners of varied technical backgrounds.
  • Ability to work on-site full time, manage responsibilities independently, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in an educational institution or service-oriented IT environment is preferred.
