Tuesday
– Saturday 2:00pm- 10:00pm
The Hospital Services Lead position is responsible for receiving, selecting, packaging, and arranging delivery for blood components.

Receive, record, and verify customer orders accurately; when feasible, ask customers to substitute short-dated components
Fill and pack orders accurately
Supports the department in administrative task (i.e., payroll, document review)
Makes deliveries and pick-ups for customers as required
Follow established procedures to properly process component returns
Responsible for proper inventory control methods by following current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Updates each component product into the BECS during delivery returns
Provides training for staff members.
Supports Manager with contract and ad hoc order filling and reporting
Participate in inventory coordination and planning with donor services, laboratories etc. as directed
Organizes blood products by expiration dates, and follows SOP to discard expired
Support supervisor/manager with scheduling and leading staff assignments
Participate in
inventory management
production and planning for customer products
(i.e. blood, blood products , plasma )
Report questionable blood products or anomalies to a laboratory supervisor or designee
Contact hospitals and other centers to maximize utilization of available inventory
Facilitates interstate shipments, including documentation and tracking
Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Related
Experience:
2 years’ experience in Healthcare, Technical or Regulated environment (cGMP environment) Any combination of
education
, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Ablities:
Knowledge:
Working knowledge of federal regulations and industry standards for the storage, labeling, distribution and transport of blood component.
Working knowledge of temperature monitoring system.
Knowledge of smartphone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages.
Working knowledge of
quality control
and stock inventory procedures.
Working knowledge of cGMP environment.
Working knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
Working knowledge of Irradiating blood components.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites.
