Position: LEAD REGISTRATION REPRESENTATIVE

The Lead Registration Representative provides administrative support in all areas of the front-office operations and acts as back-up to the Office Manager in their absence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with patient registration, verifying insurance, scheduling diagnostic referrals, and scheduling patient appointments.
Assists with completion of referrals, including specialty and women’s cancer screening referrals.
Handles other office functions such as answering phones, handling mail, collecting patient data, maintaining supplies inventory, and managing medical records activities.
Acts as lead supervisor in the absence of the Clinic/Office Manager and assists Manager with other projects and tasks as assigned. Helps train and cross-train office personnel in their responsibilities.
Collects self-pay payments and co-payments, accounting for cash, check, and credit card payments. Prepares bank deposit reports, deposit slips, and drops deposits.
Creates reports such as the daily activity report and missing tickets report.
Provides administrative coverage in other departments as needed.
Collects Customer Service Evaluation surveys from patients.
Performs other duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of three years experience as a medical office assistant; working knowledge of computers; proven communication and customer service skills.
