Position: Legal Assistant ( Medical Malpractice)
Leading Wilmington law firm seeks a Legal Assistant to support a team of attorneys specializing in Medical Malpractice cases. Strong Personal Injury experience is also an option for the position.
Understanding of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and malpractice litigation desired.
Full time in office (with flexibility) Monday thru Friday. Salary to $90,000/yr with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
Complete client intakes
Maintain and update case files and databases
Track deadlines, ensure timely submission of legal documents and filings
Prepare, file, and organize legal documents (pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and subpoenas)
Draft and proofread legal correspondence and documents
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
2 plus years of experience in a law firm in medical malpractice or Personal Injury law
