The Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) seeks a legal administrative professional for the position of Legal Office Administrator 1 within the Office of Chief Counsel, Office of State Inspector General (OSIG).  The position is located in Harrisburg.  If you are a self-starting multi-tasker with superior organizational skills and able to work as well independently as with a team, OGC and the OSIG Office of Chief Counsel want to hear from you!

The successful applicant must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written, have a keen eye for detail, and be capable of utilizing legal office software and technology.Excellent interpersonal skills are a must as you will be establishing strong working relationships within the department in order to complete the duties outlined above.
The Governor’s Office of General Counsel provides efficient, responsive legal services to the Commonwealth, the Governor, members of his cabinet and more than 30 executive branch agencies that conduct the business of the Commonwealth. This includes rendering legal advice and representation concerning matters and issues arising in connection with the operation of executive agencies under the Governor’s jurisdiction, as well as select independent agencies.
This member of the Office of Chief Counsel will also provide administrative support to the OSIG team.  Duties in this area will include conducting legal research, case preparation, drafting of legal filings, submission of electronic court filings, and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court/agency officials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. HYBRID Telework Schedule Available – Three days onsite, and two days telework. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
