Honda of Downtown Chicago is seeking a detail‑oriented and organized License and Title Clerk to join our finance team.
Responsibilities
- Process vehicle registration and titling paperwork for sold and traded vehicles.
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation to the appropriate agencies for title transfers.
- Calculate taxes, fees, and other charges associated with vehicle sales.
- Verify and record customer and vehicle information accurately.
- Communicate with customers, lenders, and government agencies to resolve any title‑related inquiries.
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain organized and up‑to‑date title records and documentation.
- Follow dealership and legal guidelines for accurate and compliant title processing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a license and title clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in using title and registration software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced and team‑oriented setting.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Assist in other administrative tasks as required.
