Position Overview
The Loan Officer Assistant supports CCM’s mortgage loan officers to enhance loan production, working directly with customers, loan officers, and processors to ensure positive experiences and timely closings.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in reviewing mortgage applications and documentation, including phone and computer tasks.
Review and deliver mortgage disclosure packages to borrowers.
Create and distribute rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages.
Review loan files, highlight deficiencies, and notify relevant staff.
Clarify or correct information via phone or email.
Provide clerical and phone support to loan officers and processors.
Support various stages of lending and processing as needed.
Manage a pipeline of different loan types, including FHA, VA, USDA, and others.
Deliver appraisals and property valuations, ensuring receipt proof.
Track outstanding items and follow up to ensure documentation is received timely.
Coordinate with Title Companies and customers to facilitate loan closings.
Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of mortgage-related experience with customer contact.
Preferred: sales support experience, Salesforce proficiency.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
