Mainframe Administrator/Db, Mq Jobs in Singapore – Singapore at OPENSOURCE PTE. LTD.
Position: Â Mainframe Administrator (Db2, Mq)
a) Administer existing or set up new DB2 Subsystems in a DB2 data sharing
environment;
b) Monitor, review and administer the usage of DB2 remote connections to
c) Monitor and take appropriate action for alerts on long running or massive data
retrieval by DB2 threads via combination of available monitoring tools and
message automation software.
d) Review and configure DB2 configuration (zparm) to ensure settings are
appropriate and will provide optimum operating behaviour for DB2 onsite;
e) Provide performance-tuning to DB2 on z/OS to ensure mission critical
software are running efficiently;
f) Conduct impact analysis, strategize, plan, and execute upgrade to new
versions of DB2 database;
defects and security alerts.
h) Generate log review reports for DB2 admin or system admin privilege
accounts on a monthly basis
i) Monitor and check the DB2 logs for abnormal or error messages.
