Experienced Veterinary Assistant desired for a veterinary hospital in Flushing. Experience in a veterinary or medical office setting is required for your resume to be reviewed. The Veterinary Assistant assists the veterinarian and takes care of the everyday needs of the hospital ward and boarding facility and helps maintain the hospital facility. Must be comfortable with handling small and large dogs and cats. Must be comfortable and have experience performing x-rays and other in house diagnostics (blood machines, snap tests etc.)

Currently, the position is 4 days a week- and will likely include a weekend shift. Each shift starts at 9:00AM and ends at 8:00PM (Saturday 5:00PM and Sunday end at 3:00PM). Arriving on time is a must. Salary is dependent on experience, likely starting between $16-25/hour for qualified employees. LVTs, as well as LVT students, are encouraged to apply for a similar position.
