Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
– Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
– Verify patient insurance information (medicare only) and collect necessary co-pays or payments
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record systems such as Cerbo
– Assist with medical scheduling
– Manage medical records, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
– When physically present in the office : Greet and check-in/checkout patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
– Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, and copying
– Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA)
Skills:
– Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems ( we use cerbo which is user-friendly)
– Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
– Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records
– Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals
– Experience working in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
