Job Responsibilities
Manage and replenish inventory for assigned departments, including Pars, isolation, and crash carts.
Reduce costs through supply usage monitoring and inventory control; improve internal customer service via well-managed supply replenishment cycles.
Utilize the inventory management system to distribute usage reports and make recommendations based on data.
Perform cycle counts and manage material expiration dates using FIFO methodology.
Assist with stock put-away processes in Central Supply and follow up on back orders.
Provide order status updates to customers and manage the update process for approved supply substitutes, maintaining the substitute list.
Participate in semi-annual inventory counts and assist with inventory data entry.
Coordinate stock redistribution for expiring inventory and communicate stock-out situations, providing substitute options when necessary.
Deliver non-stock items to departments and reconcile discrepant invoices with Accounts Payable.
Perform routine cleaning and recycling tasks in the supply areas.
Utilize Medhost to process inventory issues and close daily pick tickets.
Qualifications
Two years of experience in materials management, purchasing, or medical supplies; healthcare setting experience preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s Degree preferred.
Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel;
Medhost experience preferred.
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills are advantageous.
