Starting pay $18.00/hrs with guaranteed raise after completion of training.
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and excellent customer service skills.
**Responsibilities:**
– Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
– Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage client inquiries
– Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality
– Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint and handling when necessary
– Provide support in maintaining a clean and organized reception area
– Process payments and handle financial transactions
– Educate clients on basic pet care and veterinary procedures
**Experience:**
– Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required
– Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
– Familiarity with animal husbandry, pet grooming, and animal care practices is beneficial
– Understanding of aseptic techniques and animal physiology is advantageous
– Ability to handle kennel duties, including feeding, walking, and cleaning is desirable
– Strong communication skills
