Job Title: Network & Azure Administration
Location: Malaysia
Years of experience: 3-5 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitoring & First-Level Support: Monitor Azure resources and network components; respond to alerts and escalate issues as needed.
- Azure Administration Support: Perform basic tasks such as resource monitoring, user access management, and assist in deployments under guidance.
- Network Administration Basics: Support routine network checks (switches, routers, firewalls) and troubleshoot connectivity issues at L1 level.
- Incident Handling: Log incidents, perform initial troubleshooting for Azure and network alerts, and escalate high-severity issues to L2/L3.
- Security & Compliance: Assist in applying basic security hardening for Azure services and network devices; support vulnerability scanning activities.
- Migration Assistance: Provide support during Azure and network migration activities by following documented procedures.
- Automation Exposure: Learn and assist in automation tasks using Azure CLI and basic scripting for network configurations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, changes, and operational activities.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends for patching and critical incidents.
- Good to have: ITIL Process Support: Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change, and Problem Management under guidance.
- Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution and updates.
- Technical Exposure: Gain hands-on experience in Azure administration and network fundamentals while learning OS basics.
- Troubleshooting: Perform basic troubleshooting for network connectivity, firewall rules, and Azure resource alerts with team support.
- Infrastructure Services: Support routine tasks for Azure services and network maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Cloud Knowledge: Focus on Azure administration tasks such as resource monitoring, user access, and assist in deployments; learn network administration fundamentals.
