Office Administration & Bookkeeper Job in Blandford NSW at Lime Country Thoroughbreds –

Our thoroughbred farm is looking for an experienced, motivated, organised person to handle all aspects of the office and book-keeping side of our operation.

Duties include but are not limited:
Invoicing and end of month rolling

Banking reconciliation (Debtors & Creditors) and have knowledge/experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or Quickbooks

Perform data entry – preferably with experience in thoroughbred systems Ardex or Prism, draft documents and correspondence, printing and filing duties.

Attendance at meetings as required for taking of minutes and the preparation of action lists from meetings.

Reconciling Debtors and Creditors

Assisting with organising and liaising regarding horse sales, general logistics, printing, sales companies, accommodation, movements of staff and horses etc.

Ensuring all contracts and health & safety documentation is completed for team members.

Studbook returns for stock (training can be provided if required)

Payroll via Xero (training can be provided if required)

Working directly with the external accounting team in order to complete regular reporting requirements.

You will be working closely alongside the owners of the business. This role will be varied and challenging at times and therefore you need to be able to work under pressure and think on the fly on occasion as well as being a good communicator.

To do this you will need the following attributes:
Strong Computer Skills and Working Knowledge of Office Software Packages (MS Office)

Experience in an Administration or Business Support Role

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Self-motivated, pro-active, and confident with high reliability and confidentiality

You will be working closely alongside the owners of the business and be a right hand to the owners from an accounts and day to office organisational perspective. Hopefully, you’ll be like a dog with a bone until things are completed. An interest or experience in a similar role within the thoroughbred industry is desirable but not required.

Hours would be Mon-Fri with some flexibility around start and finish times and days worked. School hours may be an option or a larger three day week. Hours change slightly due to seasonal nature of the business, but would be between 25-32 hours per week. Open to suggestions for the right person.
