Functional Description:

Davis Defense Group (DDG) is seeking an Administrative and Training Support Specialist for the College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) Regional Office at Camp Pendleton California. This is an onsite position that provides administrative support to faculty, students and staff involved with Marine Corps distance education programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide word processing, spreadsheet and presentation development and data entry services using Microsoft (MS) Office or compatible applications.
Answer telephones and e-mails and take and deliver messages.
Provide students with assistance with course enrollments, transfers, acquiring academic transcripts, submitting waiver requests, grade reporting, setting up MarineNet and Learning Management System (LMS, Moodle) accounts and acquiring course materials.
Support the Regional Director (RD), Regional Chief Instructor (RCI) and Blended Seminar Program (BSP) staff with student enrollment request processing, seminar cohort establishment and association of cohorts with assigned faculty.
Support the RCI with required LMS seminar resource requests and the enrollment/verification of assigned students and faculty.
Resolve student and faculty administrative issues or present those issues to the RCI or RD for resolution.

Required Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 applications, especially Outlook and Excel.

Desired Experience:

Experience with Learning Management/Support Systems (LMS/LSS, e.g., Moodle).
Experience/familiarity with the Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS).
Prior military service or experience working with the military.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and PDF based forms.

Education Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.
