Office Administrative Assistant Jobs in Schertz, TX at Mattenga’s Pizzeria
NAGC is looking for a detail-loving, tech-savvy operations coordinator to keep our small but mighty association humming. This role is perfect for an early-career professional who has dabbled in admin or customer-service work and wants to broaden their skills across all aspects of non-profit management. At NAGC, every team member wears many hats, experiments with new tools, and delivers standout service to our community of educators and advocates.
About You
You’re the checklist champion. Nothing thrills you more than crossing items off a to-do list and spotting tiny errors before anyone else sees them.
You lean into tech. Whether it’s a database, a website, or a shared drive, you aren’t afraid to poke around and figure it out.
You keep the trains on time. Scheduling, meeting prep, and juggling multiple deadlines come naturally to you.
You’re a natural helper. Picking up the phone to welcome a new member or answering a basic invoice question feels rewarding, not draining.
You’re a calm problem-solver. When a form is missing or a report won’t run, you investigate, document, and offer solutions.
You’re ready to grow. You may have 1-2 years in an office, retail, service, or nonprofit setting, but you’re eager to stretch into events, data, and project coordination.
You embrace the start-up vibe. In a small team, you see beyond your job title, pitch in wherever needed, and celebrate group wins.
What You’ll Tackle
Daily operations: process bookstore orders, pay bills, log deposits, and keep our data squeaky-clean.
Member happiness: place welcome/outreach calls, track volunteer engagement, and serve as our friendly first-line support.
Events & programs: help set up registrations, webinars, and conference logistics (virtual and in-person).
Marketing touches: prep donor thank-you notes, pull mailing lists, build simple email proofs, and post quick website updates.
Reporting & finance: run routine membership/event/donation reports and gather paperwork for the annual audit.
Board & exec support: compile meeting materials and maintain calendars.
Special projects: organize files, document SOPs, and create custom data pulls to keep the whole team moving forward.
