Parish Administrator/Office Manager
Job Description
The Parish Administrator Position provides administrative support to ensure the ministries of the church are carried out as efficiently as possible. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, thrive in a team atmosphere and be a highly organized self-starter. Respect for confidentiality is needed. The ability to lead and thrive in a multi-task environment with other passionate team members is key.
Responsibilities
Work with pastor, staff, Council members, and volunteer teams to create and carry out church ministries.
Provide a regular office presence during assigned hours; answer and respond to phones, voicemail and emails and manage appropriately.
Maintain office and church supplies.
Enhance, manage, and engage with outside vendors and contractors to ensure active partnership.
Establish and maintain up to date electronic membership and contact lists.
Effectively utilize and maintain the church website and all communications.
Lead and manage process to create and reproduce worship materials, congregational communications, and ongoing print materials, including weekly bulletin, handouts, brochures and monthly newsletter.
With other staff members, actively coordinate resources and facilities to successfully carry out church ministries.
Manage bookkeeping responsibilities including Quick Book functions of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
Skills required:
Strong command of Microsoft products, and able to learn and navigate church-specific systems.
Bookkeeping knowledge with expertise in Quick Books.
Good interpersonal skills, personable, friendly, approachable, enjoys getting to know people, builds relationships.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Able to lead, coach and empower staff, members, and volunteers.
A teachable spirit. Self-awareness of both strengths and areas of growth.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay range: $40,000.00 – $42,000.00 per year
