Position Description:
The Elementary Principal’s Administrative Professional will provide secretarial/administrative support to the school and public community by communicating information, addressing problems, providing support to the principal, students, staff, PTO, and total community, and by maintaining the school office in an efficient professional manner so that school business can be conducted and managed effectively while maintaining strict confidentiality.
This is an extremely hands-on position that will require someone with the skills, energy, and creativity to ensure that the office runs smoothly despite regular interruptions. The successful candidate will be required to tactfully take charge of tasks and schedules to ensure successful completion. This includes the direct management of principal schedule and tasks.

Qualifications:
Must have a HS diploma or GED and 1-3 years of related experience.
Must have proven experience interacting positively with the public.
Must have the ability to handle more than one project/task at a time while maintaining a positive professional demeanor despite numerous interuptions.
Must demonstrate ability to communicate, both verbal and written, in a clear concise professional manner.
Must be computer proficient with general office productivity tools.
Must be comfortable working with students, adults and staff in a collaborative and engaged environment.
