Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Reporting directly to the Coordinating Manager this position is responsible for facilitating patient services in the hospital as related to emergency visits and collection of patient information. Major duties include supervision of front-line staff from the Emergency Room.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

1. Supervises and schedules work assignments for ED Clerical Associates III, II & Agency.

2. Trains and completes ongoing competency for ED Registrar Staff.

3. Monitor Registrations from EMR.

4. Ensures and orders adequate supplies for all areas.

5. Maintains a professional appearance, behavior, and work environment.

6. Troubleshoot electronic equipment, and/or call to Help Desk (x5260) to attain the ticket number wherever necessary.

7. Train(s) staff on Policy and Procedures for the Finance Department.

8. Assist(s) in the completion of death certificates, city burial forms, ME forms, and registering physicians in eVitals.

9. Completes daily and monthly Tour schedules as needed.

10. Generate(s) daily reports and distribution of reports timely.

11. Attends meeting(s) on behalf of department.

12. Complete Weekly Quality Check Reports.

13. Performs Administrative clerical work in areas such as personnel administration, payroll, methods and organization, and other administrative and operational areas by processing, recording, checking, and maintaining records, furnishing information, and preparing reports for subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications

1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and

2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
