About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Office Administrator & Bookkeeper join our friendly team based in Corstorphine. While our second location is in Morningside, this role is primarily based at our Corstorphine office. You’ll play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly, supporting both our front-of-house and back-office functions.
This is a varied role with a mix of administrative, communication, and creative responsibilities — perfect for someone who enjoys multitasking and is eager to grow their skills.
Standard office hours are 8am–6pm, but there is a degree of flexibility in work patterns and arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional support to clients and customers.
Reception Cover:Â Step in to cover receptionist duties during holidays and sickness.
Communication:Â Handle a high volume of phone calls and emails; communicate effectively via Microsoft Teams.
Office Administration:Â Track staff lateness and absences; ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
Bookkeeping:Â Use Xero (training provided) to manage basic financial records and transactions and liaise with external accountants or auditors as needed.
Social Media & Marketing Support:Â Take photos, post updates, and respond to online reviews.
What We’re Looking For:
Computer literate – particularly with Microsoft Office packages.
Curious and eager to learn — especially about bookkeeping and the automotive industry.
Comfortable with numbers and willing to train in Xero accounting software.
Experience with social media platforms and content creation is a plus.
Organised, adaptable, and able to work independently.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Desirable:
Certification in bookkeeping
Experience with social media
Experience of the automotive industry
