POSITION TITLE :Administrative Assistant
REPORTS TO:Principal

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for general office administration

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for scheduling special events, field trips, transportation requests, maintenance work order requests, and other similar tasks

Plans for and provides orientation, transition, and school programs’ information to students, parents, and staff.

Create and maintain a welcoming and efficient front office that emphasizes
organization, professionalism, courtesy, flexibility, and teamwork

Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures; controlling correspondence, designing filing systems; and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
Use proper telephone etiquette and direct calls appropriately to school staff
Provide needed assistance and communicate effectively with principal and all school staff

Be attentive, patient and fair with students
Treat parents as valued and respected customers
Be knowledgeable about Confluence Academies and the school community; befamiliar with key Confluence Academies personnel, school board of directors and/or district personnel

Maintain records for the student activity fund and coordinate related activities
Serve as coordinator for enrollment and recruitment
Assist the Principal with projects as needed
Serve as the campus administrator for placement of substitutes
Collects and distributes daily announcements

Assist in processing purchases orders
Answer phones and assist students, parents, teachers and visitors.
First Responder
Assist in the enrollment process
Other duties as assigned by the Principal

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus three (3) years’ experience in a campus or school setting.
