Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our accounting/payroll team. The Administrative Assistant will provide support to ensure efficient operation of the department, handle day-to-day accounting and human resource functions. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of basic accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This person will also assist in the management of personnel files and the processing of payroll, which requires a high degree of confidentiality.
Job Responsibilities:
· Assist in day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account maintenance.
· Manage and process financial reporting.
· Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts regularly.
· Vendor relations.
· Assist with month, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
· Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including data entry, answering phone calls, and managing correspondence.
· Create and maintain employee payroll and benefit profiles.
· Assist with processing of bi-weekly payroll.
· Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Qualifications:
· An associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, or comparable work history in accounting or finance.
· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Training is provided.
Starting salary is $38,500 per year.
Benefits after 90 day probationary period:
· 85% of individual employee premium paid for health insurance
· 85% of individual employee premium paid for dental insurance

Paid Time Off:
Based on years of service:
One to three years – 112.50 hours
Four to nine years – 150.00 hours
10 years or more – 187.50 hours
Plus 9 Paid Holidays
Required Education:
· Associate Degree or above OR comparable work history in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
