THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will work in the Customer Service Division of the Bureau of Vehicle Services. You will serve as a liaison between the Bureau of Vehicle Management (BVM) and other state agencies in support of the Commonwealth’s Automotive Fleet. You will have the opportunity to provide support to drivers of fleet vehicles in state agencies, Commissions, and Legislative bodies and their designated points of contact. You will be responsible for making recommendations regarding vehicle maintenance and repair, while ensuring that proper vehicle operation is followed. Having the ability to problem solve and utilize independent judgement are essential functions of this position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, details to be discussed during interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
