Job Overview:

Ortega Counseling Center seeks a full-time Receptionist / Data Entry position for our Whittier office. With over 20 years of combined experience, we are dedicated to providing exemplary vocational counseling to injured workers, serving both Spanish and English-speaking clients. At OCC, we prioritize retraining individuals affected by work-related injuries, guiding them toward successful career transitions and brighter futures.

The Receptionist/Data Entry position is pivotal in facilitating the administration of Supplemental Job Displacement Benefits (SJDB) within the workers’ compensation program. This role involves handling reception duties, meticulous data entry, and offering administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the program, aligning with our core values of positive attitude, willingness to learn, dependability, team player, and customer-first approach.

Responsibilities:

Reception Duties:
Answer phone calls promptly, respond to inquiries courteously, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
Proactively email the appropriate personnel to return calls promptly. Welcome and assist individuals visiting the office warmly.
Data Entry:
Enter data related to injured workers accurately into the system.
Ensure the timely and precise recording of information, maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Update and maintain databases with current and accurate information consistently.
Documentation:
Assist in the timely mailing out of documents to injured workers and insurance companies.
Collaborate with team members to streamline documentation processes efficiently.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with injured workers, employers, attorney applicants, and insurance companies.
Provide comprehensive information about the SJDB voucher and address inquiries related to the application process promptly.
Work closely with the team to support the overall objectives of the center.

Qualifications:

Bilingual: English and Spanish proficiency required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in reception or data entry roles preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Must possess a positive attitude, demonstrate willingness to learn, exhibit dependability, function well as a team player, and prioritize customer satisfaction.
Comfortable and confident in speaking with clients over the phone and in person.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
In-house position located in Whittier, CA.
