Full Job Description

The Assistant Supervisor acts as the second in command of a department/office, supporting the Supervisor in day-to-day management and administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

Direct and support the team members in the departments/offices assigned.

Direct and assist employees as necessary to ensure all aspects of the daily operations are met.

Support the Supervisor in monitoring employee compliance with operating standards, along with other departmental(s), and company policies and practices.

Support the Supervisor in writing reports on team productivity, quality and areas for improvement, proposing solutions to support operations and the team.

Enforce customer service standards and ensure that all employees are focused on always serving the customer.

Work with the Supervisor to find ways to support each team member in achieving her career goals.

Work with Supervisor to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining files, records, and all necessary documentation.

Respond immediately and respectfully to customer requests; communicate customer complaints to immediate supervisor and help resolve them, and communicate with Supervisor about any situation that needs to be escalated.

Support the Supervisor to establish performance objectives (KPIs) in accordance with the company’s philosophy for the function assigned to the employees.

Support Supervisor in performing personnel management functions including hiring, firing, maintaining discipline, administering performance reviews, and salary changes.

Support Supervisor in reviewing and making changes to staffing assignments with managers and supervisors to ensure the best employees are in each position.

Make recommendations to the Supervisor based on service needs and production sales plans.

Support the Supervisor in coordinating the workflow between departments and work areas.

Support the TL in the delivery of quality feedback of new and existing employees and find strategies to improve the quality of the team.

Requirements and Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communicator, with great technical capacity and ability to accurately complete all documentation.

Extensive knowledge of customer service best practices with the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.

Extensive professionalism in customer service and customer orientation with great service capacity to resolve customer complaints.

Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain productivity both independently and collaboratively.

Able to multitask and manage projects effectively as a problem solver and supporter of teamwork.

Detail oriented, with great organizational and time management skills and the ability to delegate and assign tasks.

Ability to manage and guide employees.

Schedule: Monday to Friday and will vary, depending on the company’s needs. Weekends and outside of normal business hours may be required.
