Job Description and Duties
Serves as the primary telephone receptionist for the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Headquarters campus front lobby counter. Extracts critical information from incoming calls while entering into a personal computer and typing into the Cisco Unified Communications Manager attendant console; then screens and directs them effectively.
While receiving both phone calls and foot traffic simultaneously, must multi-task and work under pressure with composure. Gives professional and courteous service to every contact.
Greets, checks in, and directs visitors to proper destinations, as well as issues visitor badges to guests that provide proper identification. Utilizes the Security Program to enter the information into the database.
Provides backup support to Division/Command clerical staff, including; prepares and processes a variety of recurring reports; such as, the monthly overtime, Cal-Card, and Occupational Injury and Illness reports; the quarterly Accident and Injury Report; the annual Paperwork, and the Charge Card reports; and other reports as assigned.
Performs other job related duties, as assigned.
