Qualifications:
High school diploma (prefer technology school training); job-related experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Successful experience with bookkeeping methods
Knowledge and use of computer applications
Knowledge and use of common office equipment and machines
Excellent interpersonal skills

Job Goal
To respond to inquiries from staff and the public to provide requested information and/or referral to other parties and provide general clerical support as may be requested.
Performance Responsibilities
Answers multi-line telecommunication system screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages.
Assists other personnel in providing support of the completion of their work activities.
Distributes (e.g., mail, supplies, messages, keys) to appropriate parties.
Evaluates situations (e.g., involving other staff, students, parents, the public) taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Greets (e.g., the public, parents, students, vendors) and responds to their inquiries and/or directing them to appropriate personnel.
Performs record keeping and various general and program-specific clerical functions (e.g., scheduling, copying, faxing) in support of assigned administrator and/or site with necessary materials as may be required.
Processes documents, and materials for various departments.
Responds to emergency calls notifying appropriate parties to address immediate safety issues.
Schedules activities (e.g., meetings, work orders, vendors, staff coverage, facilities usage) to assist in meeting staff needs and efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilities.

Terms of Employment:
190 days; salary and work year to be established by the Board
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Service Personnel.
