Human Resources Administrative Assistant
American Panel Corporation is seeking a candidate that is highly detailed orientated, has strong time management skills and is organized to perform the administration tasks within the Human Resource environment. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of ADP/Paychex and/or experience using HR Platform functions, must have at least an intermediate level of Excel and MS Outlook. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop a wide range of skills in Human Resources.
The HR Administrative Assistant will focus on the overall administrative tasks related to employee programs and employment experience
The following are the list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
Will be responsible to organize employee-associated events
Plan, direct and administer various HR programs
Promote positive employee experiences, look for opportunities to enhance efficiency of processes to deliver exceptional customer service and improve the overall employee experience
Produces a variety of employee communications materials for internal electronic and paper distribution including promotional materials which encourage employee participation in program activities
Work together with cross-functional team members to improve processes to implement programs with the goals always being to make processes easier from the perspective of team members
Responsible for maintaining all HR and Risk Management files and records, both paper and electronic
Primary contact for HR public records requests, verification of employment, and recommendations
New Hires: coordinate with HR Clerk to creates new-hire packets; assist with managing eVerify system; manages new employee reference check process
Assist HR Generalist with onboarding processing
Maintain employee personnel files and medical records
Process Job Requisitions, promotional and payrate changes
Fulfills Public Records Requests with assistance from HR team
Provide backup as needed to HR Director; to include other duties as assigned
Assist HR Director with coordinating Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Event
Assist HR Director: with coordinating and implementing annual training programs
Responsible for managing Service Awards and Employee of the Month Programs
Keep records of Safety Committee Meetings
Records Safety Committee Meetings minutes of monthly and distribution to appropriate parties
Works with the Safety Committee, Quality Team and Safety Committee Coordinator to host annual Wellness Program Events; assist with periodic needs assessments and program utilization evaluations
Assist HR Director with hosting annual Health fair
Qualifications
Associate’s degree is preferred
Certification through Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) is preferred
One-Two (1-2) years of Human Resources experience or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Working understanding of Human Resources principles and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills
Solid program management and multi-tasking skills
Valid Florida Driver’s License
Salary: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time
