Overview
Salary: $26.02 – $32.53
This position is responsible for planning and directing billing and office support functions. It oversees administrative services and operations for the care center, including billing, purchasing, human resources, communication systems, space utilization, administrative support, and mail services. The role involves coordinating systems and procedures with medical records, data entry, claims review, and personnel functions to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities
Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely payroll operations and compliance with payroll and timekeeping policies.
Review patient charts for compliance and accuracy to ensure correct and timely billing processes.
Promote compliance with fiscal intermediary and third-party payors through education and support.
Maintain current knowledge of and ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local billing regulations.
Oversee and provide guidance to the Records Coordinator to ensure quality and accuracy of medical records.
Participate in screening, interviewing, and hiring of Records Coordinators.
Conduct staff performance appraisals and competency reviews for Records Coordinators, as needed.
Assist the Director in preparing for audits and licensure reviews by maintaining updated policy, procedure, and personnel records.
Perform human resource functions in line with care center policies, including ensuring compliance with all employment documentation requirements.
Provide appropriate orientation for new staff members.
Monitor office systems, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Reconcile petty cash and expenses for the care center.
Process Accounts Payables according to policies and procedures.
Control and order office and medical supplies; conduct inventory control as directed.
Maintain mobile device supplies and troubleshoot software/hardware issues.
In the absence of an intake coordinator, manage the Referral and Intake process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of office or related experience.
Excellent communication skills suitable for interacting with all age groups, especially the geriatric population.
Strong computer and software skills.
Knowledge of personnel management, record keeping, and office administration.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
Experience in a healthcare environment.
