What we are looking for:
ODF is looking for an Office Specialist 2 to provide administrative support for the Central Oregon District department programs. These goals and related duties are in the areas of office administration and support, performing fiscal and billing tasks, and will serve as the Forest Practices clerk. This position requires the ability to closely coordinate with other staff to provide the support needed to meet their responsibility to respective departmental objectives, agency missions, and legal mandates. The individual in the position must be able to implement Federal, State, Department, and District policies, laws and procedures and incorporate the information into daily working situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Note: Driver’s License Check – This position may require the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business. If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout. If you have an Oregon driver’s license, a record check will be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.

Skill in communicating orally and in writing with a variety of people, answering questions and explaining information or decisions, sometimes using specialized terminology.
Skill in making independent judgments and decisions concerning a course of action to be taken.
Skill in applying and explaining laws, rules, policies and procedures.
Ability to learn and work within specific agency programs or operations, policies and procedures affecting assigned work.
